How the service works

We are a referral service. We do not employ HVAC technicians, we do not carry out repairs or installations, and we do not supervise the contractors we introduce. The contractor who contacts you is an independent business responsible for their own licensing, insurance, workmanship and warranty. Your agreement for the work is with them, not with us.

How we are paid

Contractors pay us for the introduction. You do not. Nothing on this site costs you anything, and there is no obligation to proceed with anyone we put you in touch with.

Price ranges are not quotes

The ranges shown are typical New Jersey figures for planning, gathered to give a sense of scale. They are not quotes and no contractor is bound by them. What a job costs depends on the equipment, the property and the work required, and only an on-site assessment can establish that.

Guidance here is general

Everything written on this site is general information about how heating and cooling systems behave. It is not advice about your specific system, and it is not a substitute for an inspection by a licensed contractor. Anything involving fuel gas, combustion, refrigerant or electrical work belongs with someone qualified and licensed to do it.

Where safety is concerned, act on the cautious reading. A carbon monoxide alarm, a smell of gas or soot around an appliance means leaving the building and calling from outside, not troubleshooting.

Codes and requirements vary

New Jersey licenses HVAC contractors at state level, but permits, inspections and local amendments are handled by the municipality, and they differ. What is required in Newark is not necessarily what is required in Toms River. Confirm with your local construction office, or with a contractor who works that town regularly.
